We’re really excited to announce the main line up for 2016’s Rock against Cancer event.
A multi-star group is currently being assembled to end the event which will include Concert at the Kings’ favourites, the SAS band. And anyone who saw 2012 and 2013‘s concerts will know that some big names and surprise guests can turn up.
10cc played for us back in 2013 and made a huge impact so we are really pleased to have them back again for 2016. BBC4 premiered a long overdue documentary of the band in December 2015 – catch it if you still can – as it really shows what a fine and influential band they are. Did you know how many hits Graham Gouldman had written for other bands including The Yardbirds and The Hollies?
Suzi Quatro has not performed in the UK for a while now so we look forward to welcoming her to Concert at the Kings – and Sweet’s Andy Scott who is an old friend – will be taking to the stage with her for what will be a memorable occasion.
Big Country’s storming sets have delighted fans since 1981 and they are bound to make an impression at Concert at the Kings on 21 May 2016.
Opening the day will be Marmalade. Since the heady days of the sixties, whilst retaining their Scottish roots, Marmalade have proved to be, not only a good time band, but a musical entity capable of transcending all types of music and generations.
Music will switch between the main and second stage during the day with some new and upcoming bands and artists featuring on the Evolution stage which premiered in 2014.
It’s going to be a cracker!
