It’s true, Swindon is not best known for its conveyor belt of musical exports…BUT…burning brightly across the West Country is a beacon of light that is TALK IN CODE – spreading anthemic indie euphoria across the landscape.
Talk In Code, recently described as “Pet Shop Boys meets The 1975”, began with a chance phone call from singer Chris Stevens to cool-as-ya-like bassist Mark Turner (aka Titch). Chris had emerged with a collection of ideas and a decision to make the switch from drums to vocals having spent good time with the sticks, and crossed everything for Titch’s availability. When the call came, Titch didn’t hesitate to give things a go. Several years, thousands of miles and lots of tea later here we are! Being furthest from the bands base Titch is known in the group chat as Diversion Boy – many late nights means many road closures!!
