Sunday 23 August 2020

Sloe Train are an out and out Blues band. Five seasoned musicians all with over twenty years of gigging experience, hailing from Oxfordshire/Wiltshire towns. This band came together in 2016 ostensibly to celebrate the music of Joe Bonamassa, since then they have widened their cover choices, and written and performed their own original material.

They very much enjoy playing live and live our tag line of Blues Booze and the occasional Snooze to the full, their 2019 festival tour was epic. After which it was all systems go to get their debut album launched online and CD before Christmas.

Their first originals album has been mixed and mastered by the legendary House of Tone producer and drummer Wayne Proctor, and they received the review below from Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason.

“In a music landscape packed with bands all too often working the classics, it’s great to hear a band delivering strong original material. Given that decades ago we all expected to be finished with music and have proper jobs, how good it is to revisit the original values of playing with freedom, minimal production and maximum impact."
